Curriculum

LUCIANA MARIANO

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, on March 24th. 1971. Descendent of Italian and Portuguese immigrants, she is the 3rd generation of self-taught artists in her family. She lived for 6 years in Italy, England and Denmark from 1990 to 1996. In 2001 got a Bachelor degree in Marketing at Mackenzie University in Brazil. Growing up among paints, palettes and brushes, she painted since childhood but never thought of her paintings as “art”. In fact, she considered it so silly and personal that all her paintings were destroyed shortly after finishing. In 2008 after a period of personal turmoil and depression her production became so intense that she didn’t have the time to destroying them and the excess became her first exhibition. Since then she have been showing her paintings in many places and countries. She is currently living in Finland.
