Luciana Mariano was born in São Paulo , Brazil, on March 24th, 1971.
She grew up among 3 generations of naïf artists: Grandmother was a sculptor, uncle a renouned naïf painter (Roberto Dotoli), mother is also a painter.
The urge for painting and drawing started when she was around 3 years old. She would fill up several notebooks with imaginary stories of what she would like to see and live. Today her paintings keep the freedom alive in her creations. In between imagination and aspects of the real life, the paintings are a reflex of what she sees, feels and hears. A lively exercise of pleasure, color, unpretencious and uncontrollable works of art, so called “naïf”.
